I am a self taught drummer and percussionist. I taught myself when I was 11 years old using a single Gretch snare drum. I bought a cheap beginners set for $50 and then at age 16 bought my first new set of Rogers. My Rogers are now a collectors item and are well preserved. I currently play Tama Starclassics; 4 ply and Zildjian cymbols, usually K darks or hybrids. My setup is: single bass drum, 3 mounted toms (8, & 2 10s), 2 floors (12 & 14), extra Jimbo wood rimmed snare, with 2 Remo figerglass congas, Djembe & suspended lapbongos. My styles range from Rock - Progressive Rock - Jazz Rock - Latin & Latin Jazz. Some of my favorite drummers include: Bill Bruford, Buddy Rich & Billy Cobham. Some bands that influenced my style include: Santana, Rush, Yes, Police, Chic Corea/Return to Forever, Alman Brothers, Todd Rudgren/Utopia, The Who, Dave Mathhews & SteelyDan.   My musical portfolio of drummage, percussives and batterie here:

The Reporters - 1980-1985; 1st album Broke N' Brokenhearted; voted best new rock band in Phx Az 1984; the band broke up mid way through recording our 2nd album; there was a small cult following several years after when the bass player's sons formed their own band and brought back many of The ...Reporters' songs. Our singer Chad was one of the few singers who could sing Rush, Journey, Police and U2.
